UPDATE (August 2, 2023);
MUNCIE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A suspect is in custody after a deadly shooting at a block party in Muncie. Muncie Mayor Dan Ridenour announced the arrest of 36-year-old John Lamar Vance during a vigil Tuesday night.
Vance is being held on a 55-thousand-dollar bond. Police say additional arrests may be coming.
The Sunday shooting left a 30-year-old man dead and over a dozen others injured.

MUNCIE, Ind. (ADAMS) – No arrests have been made in connection to a shooting at a large party in Muncie.
One person was killed and nearly 20 people were injured at the block party early Sunday morning.
Two juveniles were among those hurt and five of the victims remained in the hospital Monday.
Police say they do not believe one person targeted the group.

MUNCIE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Police in Muncie are investigating a deadly shooting at a large party. Police responded to a block party at South Hackley and Willard Streets early Sunday morning.
30-year-old Joseph Bonner was pronounced dead at the scene.
IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie says 19 other patients were treated in relation to this incident.
