DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department says that a 19-year-old from Angola was injured in a crash early Sunday morning.
It happened just before 3 a.m. Sunday on CR 61. Police say that Logan Trausch was driving northbound on the 1700 block of CR 61 when his truck left the roadway. It overturned multiple times in a field.
The truck traveled about 50 yards from the roadway, and police located Trausch 30 yards from the roadway. The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department says that Trausch was thrown from the vehicle.
Trausch was transported to a hospital by Parkview Samaritan to the hospital. Police said he suffered head injuries and extensive cuts and scrapes to his shoulders and arms.
Police say that they believe speed and alcohol were contributing factors in the crash.
The crash is currently under investigation.
