INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana House has approved a bill that would require all childcare facilities and preschools to test their water for possible lead contamination.
The bill would require all commercial and home-based child-care facilities and preschools to have their water tested at least once before January of 2025.
A test showing lead in concentrations higher than 15 parts per billion would require the operator to take corrective action. The bill now heads to the Senate.
