INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – A former Indianapolis post office manager is accused of stealing nearly two million dollars in checks from the mail.
44-old James Lancaster is facing federal charges of conspiracy to commit bank fraud and theft of mail.
He allegedly used his position as manager of customer service to steal hundreds of checks from the mail between May of 2020 and June of 2021.
Two Illinois men are also facing federal charges for allegedly depositing the stolen checks.
