UPDATE (December 17, 2021):
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana’s elite search and rescue team is back home.
Members of Task Force One returned to Indianapolis yesterday.
They spent nearly a week in Kentucky, helping to search for survivors and remains in hard-hit Mayfield.
The effort in Kentucky’s tornado zone has changed into a clean-up and recovery effort.

UPDATE (December 14, 2021):
MAYFIELD, Ky. (ADAMS) – Indiana’s Task Force One has one of the toughest jobs in the tornado zone in Kentucky.
Crews spent yesterday searching through the rubble in Mayfield, Kentucky. Specifically, Task Force One searched what is left of the city’s candle factory.
Task Force chief Tom Neal says the hope is to find someone who’s still alive. Neal says they’ve been to many disasters over the years but says this one could be the worst he’s ever seen.

ORIGINAL STORY:
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Add Indiana’s elite search and rescue team to the list of people helping sift through the rubble in Mayfield, Kentucky.
Task Force One member left Saturday.
They are looking for survivors and any remains that may be left behind in what used to be Mayfield’s candle factory.
That factory took a direct hit in Friday and Saturday’s tornadoes. A total of 45 Indiana Task Force 1 personnel are in Kentucky.
