MUNCIE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Some quick-acting Muncie police officers are being credited with saving a woman’s life as her car was sinking.
The 18-year-old woman called 911 about 2:30 Sunday morning to say she was trapped inside her car in the White River. Three Muncie officers, Officer Casey Bell, Sergeant James Lenox, Sergeant Greg Skaggs all raced to the river to help.
The three were able to break a window and pull the woman to safety just seconds before her car was totally underwater.
The whole thing was captured on body camera video.
