FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A U.S. Congressman from Indiana can no longer use his Twitter account.
Republican Representative Jim Banks had his account suspended after tweeting about Assistant Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine last week when she became the first transgender four-star officer in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps.
Twitter has a ban on targeted misgendering of transgender people, causing Banks’ posts to be removed. In a statement, the Congressman says Big Tech shouldn’t be able to “cancel” him.
