FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne Police Department officials say that a man is expected to survive after being shot Tuesday afternoon. Police are hoping to find out what happened that caused the shooting and who pulled the trigger.
Officers found the man suffering from a gunshot wound on the 4300 block of S. Anthony around 1 p.m. in a vehicle near the Phillips 66 gas station at South Anthony and McKinnie Avenue. Police reportedly think he was shot while in the vehicle.
Police say they may have a witness and are hoping to get home surveillance footage.
The victim was listed after being taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

On Tuesday October 11, 2022 at approximately 1:00 PM, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 4300 block of South Anthony in reference to a shooting investigation. As officers and paramedics arrived on the scene, they located an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Paramedics provided medical attention to the male victim before transporting him to a local hospital where he was listed with non-life threatening injuries. Investigators on the scene were attempting to obtain witness information as well as observe video surveillance. At this time, there is no suspect information. This incident is being investigated by the Fort Wayne Police Department.
