WASHINGTON D.C. (ADAMS) – Take away one possible Republican ‘yes’ vote for the infrastructure plan in the U.S. Senate.
Indiana Republican Todd Young on Sunday said he will not vote for the $3 trillion dollar spending package because he said it’s too full of Democratic pork. Young was one of 17 Republicans who supported debate on the plan.
Young’s departure will cut the margin, but Democrats say they should have enough Republican support to pass the plan that spends $550 billion on roads, airports, and the internet.
The rest of the money is tied to ‘human infrastructure’ projects.
