FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Police are asking for tips after a man was beaten and is now listed in critical condition.
It is unclear what led up to the incident. Police are only saying that officers were called to River Cove Trail regarding a reported battery that was still happening.
When they arrived, no one was found but they learned that a man had been taken to the hospital. He was reported to have life-threatening injuries.
FWPD officials released the following:
On Sunday, 07/17/2022, at approximately 01:30 AM, the City of Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 2500 block of River Cove Trail regarding a reported battery in progress.
Officers arrived on scene to find that one adult male victim had been transported to an area hospital via private conveyance. The adult male victim is reported as being in life threatening condition at this time.
