FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Prosecutors in Fort Wayne say a former Department of Child Services case manager lied about seeing kids in person for months.
Prosecutors filed formal felony charges against 26-year-old Jerika Bland yesterday. Court documents say she lied about meeting with the children she was supposed to be supervising.
State law requires DCS case managers to see kids each month, Bland is accused of faking those meetings for her state log. Bland was fired by DCS last year. There’s a warrant out for her arrest.
