FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Premier Truck Rental (PTR) this morning broke ground on a $4.9 million expansion of the company’s headquarters near Fort Wayne International Airport. As part of the expansion, company leaders expect to add up to 65 new jobs by the end of 2025 to accommodate a growing customer base.
Founded in 2014, PTR is a family-owned and operated provider of commercial vehicles and equipment
rentals. The company’s offerings range from customizable, job-specific work trucks to utility trailers designed for installing underground and overhead powerlines and fiber. PTR serves a wide variety of clients across the United States, including construction companies, investor-owned utilities, utility contractors, and wind and solar contractors.
PTR’s headquarters is located at 9138 Bluffton Rd. in Fort Wayne. Expansion plans include about 18,000 square feet of new warehouse space, 6,000 square feet of new office space, additional infrastructure to support the company’s growing fleet of vehicles, some of which will be electric, and more.
“This will mark our third expansion in five years,” said Adriene Horn, president of PTR. “It seems that every time we build, we outgrow the space by the time construction is done! We’ve been very fortunate at PTR to have experienced such significant growth since starting the company in 2014, and this expansion will only provide more space to grow.”
PTR currently employs more than 100 team members in Fort Wayne. Company leaders are currently looking to add new employees in various departments and across all skillsets. Interested candidates can learn more and apply on PTR’s careers webpage.
“I continue to be encouraged by the investments and positive momentum we’re experiencing in Fort Wayne. As part of our commitment to being a proactive partner to help new businesses get started and existing businesses to stay, it’s great to see Premier Truck Rental succeed and be a key factor in our community’s growth and success,” Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry said. “New jobs and unique economic development opportunities have positioned Fort Wayne as a recognized leader in the business sector.”
