FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – One Fort Wayne-area family is suing their school district over how a school nurse treated their child.
Michael and Alissa Reed are suing Northwest Allen County Schools after they say the nurse put Vaseline on their child’s genitals.
It happened last May after the child, who is in kindergarten, complained about itchy genitals. The Reeds say the nurse didn’t ask their permission first and say the school’s superintendent brushed off their concerns.
The nurse lost her job over the incident. The Reeds filed the lawsuit yesterday.
