ELKHART, Ind. (ADAMS) – If you need something to just give you all the good feelings today – look no further than 91-year-old Jack Burkett.
The Elkhart man is getting attention after a news story about his devotion to his local Arby’s restaurant.
According to WNDU, Burkett dined at the Elkhart Arby’s on Emerson Drive with his wife frequently before she passed away.
Following her death, he asked if he could “work” at the restaurant without pay. The manager said that they could do that but she would be happy to hire him.
For the last ten years, Burkett has been a staple at the Arby’s – working every day of the week. He says he does it happily and will continue to for his love of Arby’s roast beef sandwiches. He calls them “out of this world.”
