The Northeast is bracing for a massive winter storm that brought freezing rain, snow and ice to much of the Southeast. Winter weather alerts affected nearly 80 million people from Georgia to Maine Sunday. High winds were expected in cities including New York and Boston. Snow had started falling in Philadelphia and New York Sunday evening.
While the former chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security says the U.S. is in a “new Cold War” with Russia. Texas Republican Michael McCaul made the comment on CNN’s State of the Union. McCaul said talks with Moscow to avoid the invasion of Ukraine need to see more sanctions on the table than rhetoric.
