Democrats are out with a new plan to help pay for President Biden’s social spending bill. Three senators are proposing a 15-percent corporate tax. It would affect about 200 companies that report more than one billion dollars in annual profits over a three-year period, including Amazon. A deal on the bill could be reached as soon as today. That would allow the House to vote on the Senate-passed bipartisan infrastructure plan.
While the nation’s biggest food company to start a vaccine mandate is nearly there. Tyson Foods says 96-percent of workers are protected against coronavirus ahead of Monday’s deadline. That’s double the number since August. Those who don’t get their shots will be fired.
