FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne firefighters are mourning the loss of one of their own. Fort Wayne Metro Firefighters 124’s Post announced the passing of Captain Andrea Burton.
A Facebook post from the 124 said she passed on Sunday. The cause of death was not disclosed.
“She was an incredible asset to our department and the community we serve, with a bright future ahead of her. Her loss is felt deeply across our entire fire family.”
The firefighters’ union says funeral details are pending.
