• Friday on HBO Max: The streaming premiere of “Mortal Kombat II”. The sequel to 2021’s “Mortal Kombat” has Karl Urban as martial arts movie star Johnny Cage. He reluctantly joins the Champions of Earth Realm in the tournament, despite not believing he has any supernatural powers. (Trailer)
• Friday on Apple TV: “The Dink”, a sports comedy starring Jake Johnson as a washed-up tennis pro forced to play pickleball after an injury. Then he becomes close with a patient pickleball player played by Mary Steenburgen. (Trailer)
• Friday on Peacock: The streaming premiere of “Pressure”. A World War II drama starring Andrew Scott as a British meteorologist trying to convince Eisenhower (Brendan Fraser) to risk a last-minute postponement of D-Day because of major storms no one else believes are real. (Trailer)
• Friday on Hulu: “Nirvana The Band, the Show, The Movie”, a mockumentary starring Matt Johnson and Jay McCarrol as friends doing random stunts while trying to land themselves at a gig at Canada’s hottest music club. (Trailer)
• Friday at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on CNN: The rescheduled “White House Correspondents’ Dinner”. It was postponed after that shooting incident in April.
