FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The City of Fort Wayne says that several projects led by the Public Works Division received approval from Fort Wayne City Council on Tuesday evening.
The City put out the following:
*Barrett Law Cost Share Package to improve sidewalks – Not to exceed $500,000, with $250,000 being City funds.
*Right of Way Miscellaneous Package – Not to exceed $1 million.
*Sidewalk Trip Hazard Elimination Package – Not to exceed $200,000.
*ADA Curb Ramp Package – Not to exceed $500,000.
*Guardrail and Attenuator Package – Not to exceed $300,000.
In addition to the right-of-way projects, the Avalon Place concrete street repairs phase 1 project in southwest Fort Wayne received final approval tonight – $2.045 million. The Northeast Quadrant resurfacing package was given final approval as well – $776,745. Additional resurfacing packages for the remaining quadrants in the City will go to City Council for consideration in the near future.
Under Mayor Sharon Tucker’s leadership the City plans to invest $37 million in neighborhood infrastructure enhancements this year.
A complete list of 2026 projects will be announced next month.
