FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The City of Fort Wayne’s Paulding Road Improvements Project will resume construction activities on March 16 following a winter break.
This phase of the project will focus on replacing the remaining concrete pavement on Paulding Road between Fairfield Avenue and Hoagland Avenue, replacing the traffic signal at the intersection of Paulding Road and Calhoun Street, installing medians with landscaping and signage, and installing a new sidewalk on the west side of Fairfield Avenue from the Courts of Woodhurst Condos to Candlelite Court.
Work is expected to be completed in mid-July.
During construction, a detour route will be posted. However, drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible, as closures and lane restrictions will occur at various times along the Paulding, Fairfield, and Calhoun corridors. Motorists should use caution, follow posted signage, and allow extra travel time when traveling through the area.
