MIAMI CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – An investigation is underway after a 59-year-old man died in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement custody at the Miami Correctional Facility.
Lorth Sim of Cambodia was found unresponsive in his cell on Monday morning, ICE shared on Wednesday. The agency says Sim became a lawful permanent resident of the U.S. in 1986, but has reportedly been arrested for disorderly conduct, indecent exposure, and larceny since then.
Sim was arrested by ICE on December 30th. His cause of death is being investigated.
