FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Two people are now charged in a shooting in December 2025 that killed one man and injured another.
28-year-old Xzavier Sanders is charged with murder and attempted murder, and 23-year-old Damiah Jackson-Sanders is charged with conspiracy to commit murder and conspiracy to commit attempted murder.
They were charged in the death of 29-year-old Andraias Curry, who was shot and killed on December 21st.
The Fort Wayne Police Department released the following:
On December 21, 2025, at approximately 0435 hours, Fort Wayne Police Officers responded to the intersection of Fairfield Ave and W. Paulding Rd in reference to a shooting investigation.
Officers arrived and located a male victim, identified as Andraias Curry, suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics arrived and attempted life-saving measures, but the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
FWPD Homicide Detectives responded and conducted a criminal investigation. FWPD Homicide Detectives identified Xzavier Sanders 28yo as a suspect in the shooting/homicide. Xzavier Sanders was arrested on a separate charge and was confined at the Allen County Jail on a Probation Violation.
On today’s date, Xzavier Sanders was preliminary charged with Murder and Attempted Murder. Homicide Detectives also identified Damiah Jackson-Sanders as a suspect in the shooting.
On today’s date, Homicide Detectives arrested Damiah Jackon-Sanders in the 600 block E. Jefferson Blvd without incident. Damiah Jackson-Sanders is preliminarily charged with Conspiracy to commit Murder and Conspiracy to commit Attempted Murder, and she is being held at the Allen County Jail.
