BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (ADAMS) – A celebration is planned after Indiana University’s College Football National Championship win. The “Champion Celebration” will happen Saturday for the 16 and oh team. It’s being held at Memorial Stadium with parking lots opening at 10 a.m., stadium gates opening at 11:30 a.m., and the rally itself starting at 1 p.m.
Championship towels will be handed out as part of the celebration.

UPDATE (January 20, 2026):
(ADAMS) – The Indiana Hoosiers took down the Miami Hurricanes 27-21 in the College Football Playoff title game from Miami.
Fernando Mendoza dove for a key rushing touchdown to make it a two-score game in the fourth quarter.
Top-ranked Indiana finished a perfect 16-and-0 on the season, winning the school’s first football national title. Mark Fletcher Jr. scored twice on the ground for #10 Miami, which ended the year 13-and-3.

UPDATE (January 19, 2026):
(ADAMS) – Indiana University is playing in the CFP National Championship tonight. They will take on the Miami Hurricanes in Bloomington with the football national championship on the line.
If the Hoosiers win, it will be their first-ever championship, and they’d be the second team to ever go 16-oh in a single season.

UPDATE (January 12, 2026):
ATLANTA (ADAMS) – The Indiana Hoosiers are going to play for their first-ever national championship after blowing out the Oregon Ducks 56-to-15 in the Peach Bowl. Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza threw five touchdowns in the Hoosiers’ win. Oregon quarterback Dante Moore threw for 285 yards and two touchdowns.
Indiana will face the Miami Hurricanes in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. The game is scheduled for January 19th at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens.

Getting from Indiana to Miami will be a little easier for Hoosier college football fans ahead of next Monday’s national championship game.
American Airlines is adding two extra flights between the two airports on Saturday and Sunday, and two additional flights back to Indianapolis next Tuesday. Frontier Airlines is also adding a flight on Saturday at 1:10 p.m. and Sunday at 10:15 a.m. to Miami and two flights back to Indianapolis on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Both airlines say they expect the fights will sell out quickly.

ATLANTA (ADAMS) – The number-one-ranked Indiana Hoosiers and the fifth-ranked Oregon Ducks will play in the Peach Bowl tonight in Atlanta.
The winner advances to the college football national championship game on Monday, January 19th, against the Miami Hurricanes.
Indiana beat Oregon in October, handing the Big Ten rival its only loss of the year.
