KENDALLVILLE, Ind. (ADAMS) – On Thursday, Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch broke ground on its new egg processing facility in Kendallville.
The 75,000-square-foot facility on Weston Avenue will create 60 jobs and result in a more than $20-million economic investment in the Kendallville community and greater region.
The following was released:
“Herbruck’s is driven by our values, which include treating our hens, environment, families and communities with respect while supplying customers with high-quality, nutritious eggs,” said Cody Herbruck, associate vice president of processing and a fourth-generation Herbruck. “We are truly looking forward to being part of the Kendallville community and would like to thank local and state leaders who have supported this project.”
The plant will process about 420 million local, farm-fresh eggs annually. Locating in Kendallville will help Herbruck’s increase its egg processing capacity to meet customer demands and allows for the local processing of Indiana eggs, which will be distributed from the site directly to customers.
