ALLEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Allen County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a vehicle that struck an officer’s car.
It happened as snow was falling Saturday night in the area of Wallen and Lima.
The sheriff’s department posted on social media that a little after 9 p.m., a pickup truck with a plow on it hit the patrol vehicle before taking off.
Police think the pickup was a dark-colored Ford F-250 or 350 that was equipped with a plow and a salt spreader on the back.
If you know anything, you are asked to come forward. Tips can be made anonymously.

While driving through the intersection of 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗱. 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝗺𝗮 𝗥𝗱. (𝗦𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝟵:𝟮𝟬 𝗽𝗺), an oncoming truck turned directly in front of our patrol vehicle, causing a significant collision. The driver fled the scene immediately.
