ALLEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Allen County Sheriff’s Department says one person was killed and two others are in critical condition after a three-car crash Saturday afternoon.
Deputies responded to the crash just before 4 p.m. on State Road 1 north of Union Chapel Road. The driver of a Chevrolet SUV that was rear-ended by a Hyundai SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The Chevy rear-ended a Kia SUV in the crash. A woman who was a passenger in the Chevy and a juvenile passenger of the Hyundai are in critical condition.

On November 22, 2025, at approximately 3:46 p.m., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a rear-end collision on State Road 1, North of Union Chapel Road.
Upon arrival, officers and medics located three Northbound vehicles, a silver Hyundai SUV, a silver Chevrolet SUV, and a black Kia SUV, involved in rear-end collisions on State Road 1.
Preliminary investigation indicates the black SUV and silver Chevrolet SUV were stopped in traffic on State Road 1. The Silver Hyundai SUV rear-ended the silver Chevrolet SUV, causing the silver Chevrolet SUV to rear-end the black SUV.
The male driver of the silver Chevrolet SUV was pronounced deceased at the scene. A female passenger of the silver Chevrolet SUV and juvenile passenger of the silver Hyundai SUV were transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
