FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The graduates of the Indiana State Police 87th Recruit Academy have received their new Dodge Durango after their time with Field Training Officers.
These new Dodge Durango Police Vehicles have a new design that the Indiana State Police has rolled out to honor our past and help us stand out from other police vehicles. This design is based on our vehicles from the mid-1960’s.
In addition to the white over blue Dodge Durango, the Indiana State Police has issued five Ford Mustangs in the same white over blue color scheme. Five specially trained veteran Troopers have been issued these high-performance vehicles.
ISP released the following:
“As these new Troopers begin their service, they carry forward a proud tradition of protecting Hoosiers with integrity and courage. The new patrol vehicles are a fitting way to mark this next chapter—honoring our history while equipping the Indiana State Police for the future,” said Indiana Governor Mike Braun.
“While the color scheme is a salute to our past, it is also a bridge to the future of the Indiana State Police, a future that each of these young Troopers will help forge,” said Indiana State Police Superintendent Anthony Scott. “We are excited to have both our new Troopers and these new look Dodge Durangos begin their service in communities throughout Indiana”.
After completing their Field Training period, Probationary Troopers Derek Eason and Corbin Till will be patrolling several counties in the Fort Wayne District as they learn the roads, court systems, and co-workers in the area. You will see these Troopers in the white over blue Dodge Durango making traffic stops and responding to calls. When you see the white over blue, you will know it is an Indiana State Trooper arriving to help. Congratulations to both Probationary Troopers as they make this next step in their career with the Indiana State Police.

Trooper John Streeter, who is assigned to the Indiana Toll Road Post, will be patrolling in the new Mustang. You will be seeing Trooper Streeter and his Mustang around northeast Indiana. These Mustangs will be an important part of our traffic patrol to reduce speeding, reckless driving, and crashes. The focus is to make roadways safer for everyone.
