FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – On Monday, Alliance Health Centers (AHC) brings on-site behavioral health services to women and children served through The Rescue Mission’s Charis House program.
Located at 5920 Decatur Rd., Fort Wayne, the new clinic is designed to meet residents where they are. The clinic offers mental health counseling and psychiatry for women and children living at Charis House.
The following was released:
Partnering with Charis House marks an incredible and important step forward in continuing our mission. Our mission is rooted in meeting people where they are and providing quality, equitable care for all. Offering mental health services on site at Charis House reduces barriers to care for women and children—creating greater access to the support they deserve,” says Kaitlyn Pozorski, LCSW, Clinical Supervisor, Alliance Health Centers.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to meeting individuals in their most vulnerable moments with authenticity, compassion, and hope. Together, we are working to ensure that every person has the opportunity to heal, rebuild, and thrive.”
Services are provided by two dedicated providers, with the capacity to serve an estimated 500 patients annually.
The new clinic expands AHC’s ongoing collaboration with The Rescue Mission. The organization provides primary care and OB/GYN services at the mission and Bridge of Grace Ministries locations.
“Access to mental health counseling is a vital part of helping our residents progress in the program and build stronger foundations for the future,” says Karla Lipsey, Sr. VP, Charis House Program Operations, at The Rescue Mission. “This partnership with Alliance allows us to walk alongside residents in their journeys, ensuring they not only receive care, but also feel seen, supported and empowered.”
