FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A man has been found dead on railroad tracks in downtown Fort Wayne. He was found with several injuries last night after police responded to reports of several people being seen on the roof of the abandoned GE building in the 1600 block of Broadway.
No one was found in or on that building, and the man’s death remains under investigation. Police believe he was in his 20s.
The FWPD released the following:
On Sunday, October 12, 2025 at approximately 7:40PM, officers from the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 1600 block of Broadway due to reports of multiple subjects on the roof of an abandoned Electric Works building. Officers approaching from the area of Martin St and Hendricks St located a male, adult suffering from multiple injuries near the railroad tracks adjacent to the property. FWFD arrived on scene and pronounced the male deceased, prompting FWPD Detectives, Crime Scene, ASU and the Coroner to be paged.
Detectives are currently on scene collecting witness statements, evidence, and camera footage. This incident is being investigated by the FWPD Homicide Team, Crime Scene, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
