INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez is now facing felony charges in connection with a weekend altercation.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office announced Level 5 felony battery causing serious injury charges on Monday after previously charging Sanchez with several misdemeanors. Sanchez was allegedly the aggressor in an incident with a 69-year-old box truck driver at a downtown hotel in Indianapolis on Saturday. Sanchez is also facing a lawsuit from the other person involved in the fight.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Former NFL quarterback and Fox Sports analyst Mark Sanchez is out of the hospital and facing charges of battery resulting in injury, public intoxication, and unlawful entry of a motor vehicle after he was seriously injured in a stabbing in Indianapolis.
Sanchez was charged early Sunday morning with the misdemeanors after police reviewed video footage of a fight between him and another man who was collecting used cooking oil for work.
Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears says in a statement that the disagreement between the two men “should not have escalated into violence or left anyone seriously injured.”
Sanchez was in Indianapolis to cover Sunday’s Colts and Raiders game.
