FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A motorcyclist has life-threatening injuries after a crash on East State Boulevard Sunday night.
The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) says officers were called around 7:45 to E. State and Tonawanda Trail to find a vehicle with heavy damage and the driver of a motorcycle with critical injuries. They were taken to a local hospital, and investigators with the FWPD Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) were called to the scene due to the severity of the wreck.
Police did not release any further details but said that speed was likely a factor.

On October 5, 2025, at approximately at 7:44 pm, Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to the area of East State Blvd and Tonawanda Trail on reports of a vehicle accident involving a motorcycle. Upon arrival, Officers located a motorcyclist suffering from severe injuries and a vehicle with heavy damage.
Medics arrived shortly after and transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Due to the severity of the injuries, the FWPD’s Fatal Accident Crash Team was paged and has taken over the investigation.
The FWPD Fatal Accident Crash Team (FACT) with the assistance of the Air Support Unit (ASU) is documenting the scene. At this time, speed is believed to be a factor in this crash.
