DEKALB CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – One man was injured in a single-vehicle crash in DeKalb County early Sunday morning.
According to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, it happened near the 4900 block of County Road 75A around 1:15 a.m..
Police say that a preliminary investigation found that the driver swerved to avoid hitting a deer before crossing the other side of the road and going into a wooded area. The 2006 Hummer H3 hit multiple trees before coming to a rest.
Three people were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash.
The 18-year-old driver and a back passenger were not hurt. The front passenger was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center for treatment of chest and knee pain.
The crash remains under investigation.
