INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – State agencies in Indiana are cutting staff and making contract cuts as part of mandatory budget cuts. The 10% spending cuts have prompted warnings from some departments that it could jeopardize their statutorily required work.
Indiana Fiscal Policy Institute President Stephanie Wells says some agencies are more forthcoming than others in their filings and says she hopes, “they continue to report on the impact the holdback has made to the delivery of government services.”
