INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana Democrats are rallying against the redrawing of the state’s congressional maps. Pete Buttigieg joined a group of Democrats at the Indiana Statehouse on Thursday.
Typically, redistricting is done every ten years based on census data, but several states are working on new maps now, potentially changing the number of Republican and Democratic congressional seats.
Indiana Governor Mike Braun says he is still weighing whether or not to call a special session for lawmakers on redistricting.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana lawmakers might be called to Indianapolis in November for a special session to redraw the state’s congressional boundaries.
Governor Mike Braun says the state is “in the process where we will evolve in that direction” and says legislative leaders need to take the lead.
He says Indiana is under pressure from the Trump administration to change the boundaries five years early as President Trump wants to get more Republicans elected to the U.S. House in 2026. Texas and Missouri have both changed their congressional boundaries.
