FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Lighthouse, in partnership with Fort Wayne International Airport, has announced a new program designed to bring free books to the Fort Wayne International Airport.
The goal is to provide entertainment for travelers who are arriving, leaving, or just stopping by the Summit City.
The following was released:
Dr. Brandon Bower, the founder and director of The Lighthouse stated, “When approached about providing books to the Fort Wayne International Airport it was an easy YES! Because of the great support and donations given by our community to our Family Thrift Store, we have an excess of books and needed an outlet and this was the perfect solution. Our goal in providing free books to travelers is that they have something to entertain themselves with during their travels, something they can pass along when they are finished, and thus create a cycle of reading and learning.”
A variety of books can be found at the airport including adult fiction, how to manuals, crafting books, children’s books, and young adult reading options. These books can be found near the airline gate area, making it convenient to grab a book to enjoy while you wait for your flight! If you would like to donate books to The Lighthouse Family Thrift Store, please drop them off during business hours at 6230 Lima Rd, Fort Wayne. If you have questions, please call 260-255-6413.
