ALLEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – One man is dead following a motorcycle crash on Wednesday in northeast Allen County.
Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the 7400 block of Milan Center Road just before 6 p.m. after getting a call about the crash. The man lost control while northbound on Milan Center Road, hit a mailbox and then hit several trees. He was wearing a helmet.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Department released the following:
On August 20, 2025, at approximately 5:50 p.m., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the 7400 block of Milan Center Rd. regarding a dispatched call of a motorcyclist striking some trees.
Upon arrival, officers located a motorcycle and a male driver, on Milan Center Rd. north of Doty Rd. A bystander initially performed CPR and officers arriving on scene took over emergency life-saving attempts that were ultimately unsuccessful.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcycle was traveling northbound on Milan Center Rd. at a high rate of speed and lost control. The motorcycle drove off the east side of the roadway, striking a mailbox and then several trees.
Medics pronounced the male driver deceased at the scene. The individual was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
