ALLEN CO. Ind. (ADAMS) – Two people are hospitalized after crashing their motorcycle in Huntertown on Thursday afternoon.
Police say the man who was driving the bike suffered life-threatening injuries, and his female passenger sustained serious injuries.
The motorcycle went off the road at the intersection of State Road 3 and Old State Road 3. The Allen County Sheriff’s Office says the crash remains under investigation.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Department released the following:
On August 14, 2025, at approximately 4:48 p.m., officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the area of Old State Road 3 and State Road 3 in response to a report of a motorcyclist who had driven off the roadway.
Upon arrival, officers located a motorcycle and two individuals, a male driver and a female passenger, on the east side of the intersection.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcycle was traveling southeast on Old State Road 3 when it approached the intersection with State Road 3. The motorcycle continued across the intersection, left the roadway, and came to a stop on the east side of State Road 3.
The male driver was transported to a local hospital in life-threatening condition. The female passenger was also transported and is reported to be in serious condition. Neither individual appeared to be wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The crash remains under investigation, though speed is believed to have been a contributing factor.
