BUNKER HILL, Ind. (ADAMS) – There will not be any construction underway in Indiana to build space to house up to 1,000 immigration detainees.
Indiana Department of Corrections spokeswoman Annie Goeller says they will use 1,000 existing and empty beds at the Miami Correctional Facility in Bunker Hill.
U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem posted on social media Tuesday, “COMING SOON to Indiana: The Speedway Slammer.”
