INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Food banks in Indiana are getting some help from the state Department of Agriculture.
Officials have provided a total of $2 million to food banks to help offset state budget cuts.
Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana, Incorporated, is receiving $635,000, the largest of the grants.
Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith says more people than they realize are suffering from food insecurity, and says he is grateful to support eleven Hoosier food banks.
