Details/Summary: On June 26, 2025, Fort Wayne Police Officers responded to 1000 block of Hamilton Ave in reference to a shooting investigation. FWPD Officer located an adult male victim and an adult female victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics arrived and pronounced both victims’ deceased. Homicide Unit Detectives responded to the scene and conducted a criminal investigation. Through the course of the investigation, Homicide Detectives identified two suspects in connection with the double homicide, Shan Ford Jr. 29yo and Quenecia Gaylor 37yo. On June 27, 2025, the Homicide Task Force took Quenecia into custody in the 4100 block of S. Clinton St without incident. On June 27, 2025, the Homicide Task Force took Shan Ford Jr. into custody in the 100 block of E. Superior St without incident. Ford is preliminary charged with Murder, Felony Murder and Attempted Burglary, and Gaylor is preliminary charged with Murder-Acting in Concert, Felony Murder-Acting in Concert and Attempted Burglary. Both Ford and Gaylor are confined at the Allen County Lockup.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) says a man and a woman were both shot and killed Thursday afternoon, close to Rudisill and Lafayette. Police say it happened after an altercation at a beauty parlor just after noon.
The FWPD is now looking for 29-year-old Shan L. Ford Jr. in connection with the shooting.
He is said to be armed and dangerous. If you have any information, you’re asked to call the police or Crime Stoppers.
The FWPD initially released the following:
Two victims are deceased after a fatal shooting today at the 1000 block of Hamilton Ave. just after 12pm. The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the shooting and located an adult male and an adult female, both suffering from apparent gunshot wound(s) who succumbed to their injuries at the scene after attempted medical care.
Preliminary information indicates that the shooting stemmed from a previous altercation at a local beauty parlor. The disturbance resurfaced on the 1000 block of Hamilton when a male and female were seen leaving a residence. The female got into a car and began to drive away when the male began shooting at her. The car crashed into a home about a block away with the female suffering fatal gunshot wounds. The male who shot the female, was fatally shot by another unknown subject. The FWPD are making concerted attempts to locate this subject.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Coroner’s Office. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to please call the FWPD at 260-427-1201, Crimes Stoppers at 260-436-7867, or use the P3 Tips app.

The FWPD is actively looking for Shan L. Ford, Jr for the charge of Murder. He should be considered Armed and Dangerous. Shan is wanted in connection to a shooting investigation earlier in the day in the 1000 block of Hamilton Avenue, in which two victims were shot and murdered.
