INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Indiana residents can no longer use SNAP benefits to purchase candy or soda.
Secretary of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Brooke Rollins signed a waiver Friday that lifts Indiana’s requirement to cover candy and soft drinks for those paying with SNAP.
Governor Braun supports the change. He says the decision is part of the state’s Make America Healthy Again agenda.
