FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) says that a man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a shooting early Friday morning.
The man called 911 shortly after 5 a.m. to report that he had been shot. Officers responded to the 1100 block of Tecumseh Street, near Lake Avenue, where they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department.
He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. As of now, the circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear. Police have stated there is no ongoing threat to the public.

On Friday, May 16th 2025 at approximately 0500 hrs officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were dispatched to the 1100 block of Tecumseh St regarding a shooting. A male called saying he had been shot.
When officers arrived they located an adult male suffering multiple gunshot wounds. Medics transported him to a local hospital in life threatening condition.
This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
