ALLEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says that motorists should use caution for lane closures and traffic restrictions on U.S. 24 for a small structure replacement.
Starting on or after May 12, crews will be working in the westbound lanes of U.S. 24 between S. 800 E. and Homestead Road. Work on the project is expected to be complete by the end of October. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
INDOT released the following:
During construction, traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction using the eastbound lanes of U.S. 24. W. Hamilton Road and Amber Road north of U.S. 24 will only be accessible through right turns by westbound traffic.
Eastbound traffic will not be permitted to turn left at these intersections, nor will these intersections have access to U.S. 24. Drivers will need to seek an alternate route.
INDOT encourages drivers to consider safety for all by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when traveling in and around all work zones.
