FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A man is in critical condition following a shooting on Monday. The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) responded just before noon to the 1400 block of Green Street.
The FWPD said the man who had been shot had been in an altercation with the suspected shooter. He reported to police that he ran into an apartment complex after being shot. He was taken to the hospital, where he was assessed to have life-threatening injuries.

An adult man has been shot after an altercation that occurred just before noon in the area of 1400 Green St. The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the shooting and learned through preliminary investigation that an altercation took place between the victim and another party(s). The altercation resulted in the victim being shot, once shots were fired the victim fled for safety. The victim was located by FWPD in an apartment building, suffering from gunshot(s) wounds. The victim was rendered aid by FWPD until relieved by TRAA. TRAA transported the victim to a local hospital in serious condition, where he was later downgraded to life threatening condition by medical staff.
