UPDATE (April 15, 2025):
The Fort Wayne Police Department has isentified a suspect in a fatal Sunday morning shooting.
Police are now asking the public for help in locating 26-year-old Isaiah Wilson. While the FWPD is asking for tips – they caution that you should not approach him. He is considered and dangerous.
The Allen County Coroner’s Office says that the victim has been identified as 23-year-old Kamari Daquan Taylor (release below).
You are asked to contact the FWPD or CrimeStoppers with any information about Isaiah Wilson. Any tip leading to an arrest could be worth up to $5,000.

The FWPD Homicide Unit has identified 26yo Isaiah Wilson as a murder suspect reference the recent Homicide at Monroe and Wayne Street that occurred on 4/13/2025. Isaiah is wanted in connection to the shooting and should be considered Armed and Dangerous. Please do not approach him.

The Allen County Coroner’s Office realeased the following on Tuesday:
On Sunday, April 13th, 2025, the Allen County Coroner’s Office was notified of a shooting in the 600 block of South Monroe Street in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim was identified as Kamari Daquan Taylor, 23, male, Black of Fort Wayne, Indiana. An autopsy has been completed, and notification has been made to the legal next of kin. The Cause of Death is Multiple Gunshot Wounds, and the Manner of Death is Homicide.
Kamari Daquan Taylor is the 12th homicide for Allen County in 2025.
The incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – One person is dead after an early Sunday morning shooting in downtown Fort Wayne. The Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) says it happened at East Wayne and South Monroe Streets around 5:45 a.m. Officers found a man suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene and he was pronounced dead by TRAA medics who arrived shortly after officers.

The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a homicide which occurred this morning, Sunday, April 13, 2025 at approximately 5:40AM, leaving one adult, male deceased. Officers with FWPD received reports of a shooting victim in the area of E Wayne St and S Monroe St. A short time after arriving, officers located a male, adult suffering from gunshot wounds. Medics from TRAA arrived and pronounced the male deceased.
A page was then initiated for FWPD Homicide Detectives, ASU(Aerial Support Unit), Crime Scene Investigators and the Coroner’s Office. Personnel on scene are using all resources available to investigate this incident. This incident remains under investigation by the FWPD, Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Coroner’s office.
