FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The powerful storms we had early and late Wednesday have left a trail of debris—twigs, yard waste, and litter—clogging street gutters and storm drains.
City Utilities encourages residents to act now to prevent street flooding and water damage to homes.
There are more than 22,000 storm drains across the city, and it takes a community-wide effort to keep them clear. Blocked drains can cause stormwater to overflow into streets, yards, and even homes.
A few minutes of action—checking nearby drains and removing debris—can protect neighborhoods from flooding.
