FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Fort Wayne Police Department says it is investigating after a woman was shot near the Phoenix Manor apartment complex Tuesday afternoon. Officers responded to the 2300 Block of Bowser Avenue, just before 1:30 p.m. Police say the woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting.
The FWPD did not have many details but said they continue investigating.

The Fort Wayne Police Department released the following:
On April 1st, 2025 at roughly 1:20 pm, the FWPD responded to reports of a shooting at the 2300 block of Bowser Ave. Upon arrival Officers located an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound outside in the parking lot. She was rendered aid on scene, before being transported by TRAA to a local hospital in non-Life threatening condition.
Detectives arrived and took over the investigation. Potential witnesses were being sought and interviewed. The crime scene was combed for evidence and possible surveillance cameras. This is a fluid and ongoing investigation by the FWPD and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
