FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A man is expected to recover after a fight and shooting near a bar in downtown Fort Wayne overnight Saturday.
According to the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD), an off-duty officer working at Downtown Bar on 1407 Calhoun Street. They requested assistance due to a fight in the bar’s parking lot around 1:45 a.m. FWPD officers arrived and heard gunshots. As police began to investigate, a local hospital reported that a man arrived in a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds shortly after.
The man was determined by doctors to be in “non-life-threatening” condition.

On Sunday, March 30, 2025, around 0145hrs an off-duty FWPD officer working at the Downtown Bar requested assistance due to a fight in the parking lot. As additional officers arrived, they heard gunshots nearby. Officers found several people in the area and attempted to speak to witnesses to gain information as to who was shooting. Shortly after, a local hospital reported that an adult male arrived in a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was later classified by doctors as having non-life-threatening injuries.
