INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – State lawmakers are advancing a bill that would stop college students from using school IDs when voting. Senate Bill 10 would not allow school IDs from universities to be used when showing ID to cast a vote in Indiana.
At a House Election and Apportionment Committee, some witnesses spoke against the measure- arguing it would make it more difficult for students to vote.
The bill advanced out of that committee on a 9 to 4 vote this week.
