FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A woman is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a crash on the southeast side of Fort Wayne.
She was found unconscious in one of the two vehicles involved in the crash around 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Capitol Avenue and Woodsdale Lane.
She was the driver of one of the vehicles. Two people in a minivan involved in the crash, including one small child, suffered minor injuries.

The Fort Wayne Police Department was notified of a crash involving two vehicles around 10:30 pm on March 8, 2025, at Capital Ave & Woodsdale Ln. Officers responded to the intersection and located the crash with one adult female driver unconscious in a sedan. Officers provided medical aid until Fort Wayne Fire Department and TRAA medics arrived. The unconscious driver was transported to a local hospital where her injuries were demeaned life threatening by a doctor.
The initial investigation indicates the sedan was southbound on Woodsdale Ln and the minivan was eastbound on Capital Ave. The sedan failed to yield to the minivan at the intersection. It is unknown whether drugs and/or alcohol are factors in the crash, and speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash. The minivan was occupied by four people. Two of the occupants of the minivan, one being a small child, received minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by the FWPD FACT team and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
